I read an incredible story a couple years ago.
A young man in his 20s, I forgot his name, was arrested, accused, convicted and imprisoned for a murder. He spent something like 20 years locked up. The entire time he claimed he was innocent.
But the Feds threw the book, the sink and everything at him. The man never had a chance. And no one believed his story.
Until many years later, DNA analysis showed he was innocent.
I remember watching a little of the TV press conference after he was released from jail. One of the first comments he made was warning about the dangers of a corrupt justice system. Being railroaded by the same system that was supposed to protect his innocence is a real threat. And He is living proof.
He had no way to prove his innocence because they never allowed him to. No one believed him.
What happens when no matter what you say or what you do, you’re always wrong? What happens when you’re a murderer, a liar, a bad person and without any recourse to prove your innocence?
Who do you turn to? Who will listen?
To me it was a heartbreaking story. And truly showed the danger of a ruthless government without restraints.
The challenge with me is, I’ve run across people who think God is like that. Like He’s a ruthless tyrant, forever bent on shredding any kind of happiness in your life.
What do you do when you think the moment God sees you, He’s already whipping out the handcuffs ready to ship you off to eternal prison?
Unfortunately, a lot of Christians think like that. More than you realize. I’ve talked with them personally. They might not outwardly profess it. But inwardly, in the recesses of their hearts and minds, they believe God has already slammed the judge’s gavel on them. As though they will never and could never attain the level of being right with God.
And I understand why.
Because all they ever hear preached is “you’re a sinner, you’re a sinner, you’re a sinner.” It’s all about sin. No matter what you do, no matter what you do, or where you go…
… everything is a sin.
And God is waiting with a big Louisville slugger to slam you out of His kingdom faster than Barry Bonds hit homers.
To be clear, God is holy. And I’m not condoning sin in any way.
But there is one point often overlooked in large swaths of Christianity: the reason for the power of God. They bicker about what clothes they should wear. They fight about whether women should preach or not. They can’t get past the extremely exterior, most basic and inconsequential things. To understand one all important thing…
The reason for God’s resurrection life and power, the same that raised Jesus from the dead, is for us as Christians to use to overcome sin. Yes, miracles, healings, and the like are very important.
But there is the a when we, the people of God, should begin to enter into the deeper realms of the Spirit. A time when the question is not about how sinful we are before God. Because we have arrested and dominated that enemy. Now, the only thing in our focus is about how incredibly amazing He is.
Don’t be deceived…
God does have a day of judgment for sin already set. The date is already programmed on His calendar.
But God paid a very high price to take your name off the list through HIs own DNA evidence. The DNA of the blood of Jesus. He sacrificed His Son so you could experience the ecstasies of the realm of the Spirit, His realm.
That’s why I’m building a tribe of people.
People who aren’t satisfied with living enslaved to sin like eating a bowl of dry Grape Nuts without milk.
A people who are ready and willing to shed the things of sin to experience the glories of Jesus.

This tribe isn’t for the timid or those who aren’t quite sure if they want Jesus.
True, I like to have a little fun and keep things light in these emails. But the newsletter I publish is not for the casual Christian. I talk about understanding dreams and visions, and hearing the voice of God. I also get into things like the lightnings of God, the whirlwind of glory and being like Him.
This isn’t milk toast stuff.
